Avogadro Energy: Reduce Environmental Impact (and Profit) with ORC Systems

The ORC technology combined with heat recovery exchangers enables the recovery of thermal energy wasted in industrial processes and converts it into electrical energy, reducing costs and ecological impact.

The Process
Avogadro Energy's ORC systems recover energy from hot gases emitted by chimneys and furnaces (200-400 °C), using heat exchangers. The water heated by the gases is used to generate electricity, with an efficiency between 10% and 20%, depending on the temperatures. For example, 1 MW of thermal energy wasted can generate up to 200 kW of electrical energy.

A distinctive advantage is the ability to operate at relatively low temperatures, starting from 85 °C, and the recovery of cooling water in sectors like steel mills, with energy production between 10% and 15%.

Sectors of Application
ORC systems are ideal for various industries: glass production, iron, steel, aluminum, cement, ceramics, paper, refineries, and cruise ships. Avogadro Energy's mission is to transform residual heat into clean energy, promoting sustainability and efficiency.

Economic and Environmental Benefits
ORC systems offer a quick return on investment, with a useful life of up to 40 years due to low wear. They require minimal regular maintenance, as they operate in a closed cycle, similar to an inverted refrigeration circuit.

Conclusions
Avogadro Energy is a young, dynamic company with innovative and sustainable technological solutions, active on a global scale. Its ORC systems, ranging from 30 to 550 kW, offer economic and environmental solutions for numerous industrial sectors.
